I booked hotel at Jaipur, India(Hotel Wind palace) with 2 days breakfast on 10th October'19. It was prepaid booking, I was not able to see booking for 2 days hence I called & chat with customer care, they kept saying, it is temporary issue. I need to uninstall & reinstall the app which i did but to no solution.
13th October'19 I called the hotel for confirmation as I was arriving, I was told that they are no longer associated with OYO for 4 months and wouldn't consider my booking. I was shocked because I booked the hotel 3 days ago even it was showing as one of the known hotel on OYO app.
Upon reaching Jaipur around 7 PM with family, I was homeless. I called customer care, they disconnected my calls for 2 times. How would someone feel, sitting on Railway platform with family in new city with no home? After spending over 1.5 hours one of the representative suggested me another hotel which was at 1 KM distance from original hotel. I felt thankful for the time being. I was told that I don't need to pay anything extra as difference amount will be billed to OYO.
If you think, this was all No No No. This was one half of the experience which just seemed poor not worst.
I reached newly assigned hotel @ 8:45 PM approximately(Hotel Royal palace), you wouldn't believe this hotel looked like one which couples generally desire for(Not for family). I believe you understand what i am talking about. Upon reaching hotel, I met the unprofessional male person who claimed to be one of the owner. He handed over the keys and I went inside the room and found following:-
- Uncleaned room/dust all over the place
- Wi-Fi not available(Facility not available)
- T.V of room is not working
- Dressing Table box has beer bottles inside(Probably last guest leftover)
- Almirah cupboard had an underwear hanging inside(Probably last guest belongings)
- Washroom door can't be locked from inside, it's handle is broken.
- No basic OYO kit, Towels and water bottle was provided upfront.
- OYO kit was not available at hotel itself for whole stay, they could manage to provide just one kit for whole stay.
I asked for another room which they denied as they just have only one room which affords 3 adults. We stayed the whole night, I called for Breakfast. They didn't know that my booking include breakfast which delayed our schedule of visiting the city.
What would you expect as breakfast in a hotel after payment explicitly
First day, I was given POHA which we don't eat in our home even. We went outside and came back at night. In meantime, i complaint online and OYO customer care scolded the hotel staff & that unprofessional owner. As we returned to hotel, he (Unprofessional Owner) started shouting on us saying we could have complaint to them rather I contacted OYO. He even said that they are going to discontinue OYO because it is worst hotel chain service. I tried to settle the matter because I was with family in the unknown city at a place which I didn't like at all. I would rate Hotel Royal Palace 1/10 where 1 is worst. Next day, I asked for breakfast as they forgot. This time breakfast had a single Parantha/person(3 pcs) without Curd/Pickle. Trust me, They went outside to buy a packet of curd on my demand. Theu denied to serve 2nd Parantha. Generally, breakfast at other hotel includes 2 stuffed Paranthas. Finally I checked out next day @11:30AM. Believe me, no one came to clean the room even for whole duration (it was 2 night stay).
I have told everyone in office about my experience and endured no one books OYO after me. I have photos of the hotel room which we received.
